SONY PXW-FX9

The Sony PXW-FX9’s full-frame Exmor R image sensor oversamples 6008 x 3168 resolution to create stunning 4K images. Compared to a traditional 4K Super 35mm sensor, the FX9's 6K sensor has over twice the surface area, providing a shallower depth of field and a wider angle of view. Enhanced features include a dual base ISO of 800/4000, 15 stops of dynamic range and an impressive 7-stop electronic variable ND filter. S-Log 3 and Cine EI/S-Gamut 3 are onboard, along with Sony’s S-Cinetone color science, providing the same cinematic look developed for the Sony Venice. Jim owns two systems, each with E-mount to PL adapters, allowing the use of Jim’s complement of cinema lenses.
